Think smart, save time and go creative using a reference calendar as a template!
Creating fresh new calendars could be cumbersome each time. In ProCal, if you have at least one production calendar, you can use it again as a template when you start a new project.
1) Launch the ‘Calendars’ blue navigation panel on the left and then select ‘New calendar’
2) Configure your new calendar
Give a ‘Name’ to the new calendar. Then, go to the Add a Source Calendar(s), and select the actual ‘existing’ calendar that you wish to refer, from the drop-down list
3) Choose what to copy into your new calendar
When ‘Include Events’ is selected, it appears in BLUE (by default):
It would show a perfect copy of the calendar. The events and sidebar contents from the selected ‘source’ template will be copied to the actual toolbar.
b) The new Calendar ‘Calendar from Template’ will appear. You can ‘Push’ or ‘Pull’ the dates or make changes in the existing events based on your needs.
Please note: this method can be time consuming, particularly when your project or schedules are totally different.
If you select the ‘Copy Sidebar Template Only’ option, the actual calendar will appear as blank, only the sidebar’s categories and events will be copied. You can pre-populate the sidebar categories and event types, drag and drop or move them onto the calendar while you make your new calendar.
